Jeremiah Raining Bird is an associate at Olthuis Kleer Townshend LLP. Jeremiah is of Cree ancestry. Jeremiah was called to the bar in June 2012, after articling with a prominent litigation firm in Toronto.

Jeremiah's growing practice includes assisting in a variety of litigation files at both the trial and appellate level including claims for personal injury and assault, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty against the Crown as well as judicial reviews of major resource projects. He recently appeared on behalf of aboriginal organizations before the inquest into the death of Brian Sinclair in Manitoba on a pro bono basis. He is also involved in the negotiation of impact benefit agreements between First Nations and industry and advises clients on the duty to consult and accommodate.

Jeremiah received his J.D. from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law. While at law school he was the recipient of multiple academic awards including the Carole T. Corcoran Memorial Award in Law for high academic standing, community involvement, and the ability to serve, work with, and lead both aboriginal and non‐aboriginal lawyers.

He grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia and received his B.A. in Political Science from Dalhousie University.

Jeremiah is a member of the Indigenous, Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations.
