OKT would like to congratulate Aamjiwnaang First Nation and Walpole Island First Nation on the achievement of reaching commercial operation on the Grand Bend Wind farm, a 100 MW project near Grand Bend, Ontario. A grand opening ceremony was held on October 6, 2016, attended by Chiefs and members of each band Council, senior officials from Northland Power, and board members and executive personnel of Giiwedin Noodin. Following a tour of the facility, a traditional ceremony by Animikeence Plain & Company was held to celebrate the occasion.
