Levi Marshall is an Associate at OKT. He is a member of Membertou First Nation in Nova Scotia and grew up in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. Levi is of Mi’kmaq and settler lineage. He completed his Juris Doctor (J.D.) at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Ontario, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2024.
While at Osgoode, Levi visited the Small Claims Court to perform three mediations and helped draft two chapters of the first supplement to the Guide for Lawyers Working with Indigenous Peoples. He also volunteered at York University’s Centre for Human Rights, Equity, and Inclusion, assisting their team with legal research in Human Rights and Employment Law.
Before law school, Levi studied at Toronto Metropolitan University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Film Studies, with a minor in Business Essentials and Public Relations. He has worked in Communications/Multimedia at TD Securities Technology Solutions, contributed to several television/film productions in various roles such as a Writer and Social Media Coordinator, and spent several summers working with Mi'kmaw Kina'matnewey in Membertou, serving the Mi’kmaq communities in Nova Scotia as a Multimedia Coordinator with the Red Road Project.
Levi is passionate about serving Indigenous communities and advocating for the recognition and realization of their rights.
