On Thursday December 6th, grade 7 and 8 students at the First Nations School of Toronto participated in a mock trial, presided over by Justice Harry LaForme (Ontario Court of Appeal). The mock trial was covered in an article and photo gallery in the Globe and Mail. The students were fantastic!
OKT lawyers Judith Rae and Jessica Iveson are volunteers with this program, while Senwung Luk and Michael McClurg helped out too by loaning their court robes for the costumes. The program, “Dare to Dream“, is an initiative started by Canadian Lawyers Abroad.
Congratulations to the students on a job well done!
