Amber joined Olthuis Kleer Townshend in October 2019 as a Legal Assistant. She provides assistance to lawyers who practice litigation on behalf of First Nations; with a focus on Aboriginal and Treaty Rights, the Duty to Consult and Accommodate, Child Protection, Child Welfare, and Environmental Issues.
Prior to joining OKT, Amber studied at Seneca College, completing the Law Clerk Diploma program, where she gained the knowledge necessary for working as a Legal Assistant. She previously worked for a non-for-profit Indigenous organization based in Ontario, and prior to that she worked extensively as a Supervisor in the Security field, providing services to various high profile clients in the City of Toronto.
Amber has a passion for Aboriginal Law, Treaty Rights, and Human Rights, and is an active volunteer within several organizations in her spare time.
Amber has several interests including reading, hiking, boxing, swimming, fishing, canoeing, cooking, travelling, dining out with friends, attending movies and concerts.
