Jamie is Counsel at OKT, practicing in the area of Indigenous rights. He has nearly two decades of experience working on issues involving First Nation communities, including 9 years of general-counsel and executive management experience with an Indigenous business.
Jamie has negotiated multiple Impact Benefit Agreements across multiple jurisdictions. Generally, he has worked on a wide variety of Indigenous/Aboriginal legal matters.
A published author, Jamie’s work has been cited by the Supreme Court of Canada and by multiple provincial appellate courts. He holds Bachelor degrees (including a law degree) as well as a Master of Laws degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
He is called to the bar in Saskatchewan, and is relocating to Yellowknife in the summer of 2023.
